Extended Care

This is an add-on option for working guardians to drop off students early, and pick up late, to accommodate their work schedules. Drop off as early as 7:30 am, and pick up as late as 5:30 pm.
- This option is intended for FULL DAY camp participants.
- Please register for each week you wish to take advantage of this amenity.
- Play Making participants (ages 4-6) may only opt for early drop off (for a 9-12 session) OR late pick up (for a 12:30-3:30 session). They are only eligible for both extended care options if they are participating in both Play Making sessions within a week.
Extended Care is not available for camps in Chelsea and Alabaster.
Summer Camp Lunch

This is a purchased lunch offering for RMT campers. Lunch options consist of various local fast food restaurants (Craft's, Hamburger Heaven, Panera, Publix, Dominos).
- This is intended for FULL DAY camp participants. Students in Play Making are eligible ONLY if they are attending both a morning and afternoon session in a week.
- If you would like to purchase lunch for multiple weeks, you must register for each week separately.
- We do NOT offer a vegetarian option at this time.
- Please note, financial aid is not applicable to this amenity.
Lunch Purchase is not available for camps in Chelsea and Alabaster.
Musical Theatre Intensive (June 23rd - 27th)

Do you love musical theatre performance? Want to take your skills to the next level? This intensive will help you do just that! Explore your unique storytelling craft with techniques, tips, and feedback. This camp is invaluable for those looking to hone their singing, acting, and dancing skills.
Our instructors are skilled, triple-threats musical theatre professionals, who will craft age-appropriate content to meet the varied skill-levels of each student in the course. There will be 3-5 group musical numbers (solos to be assigned throughout the week) and scene work chosen specifically for each student. All skill levels welcome, but a basic knowledge of theatre is encouraged. Students will not need to prepare any material in advance of the first day.
Each session will feature different instructors and material, so students can choose to register for both.
RMT in Alabaster: Shake It Off Blast Camp

Blast Camps are fun, week-long camps in which students put their musical theatre performance skills to the test. Through rehearsals focused on singing, acting, and dancing, students build confidence by rehearsing a short script written specifically for RMT. At the end of the week, they perform in front of a supportive community of family and friends. In preparing for a performance, students learn discipline and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work.
This week’s camp is calling all Swifties! This FEARLESS story weaves together the songs of pop sensation Taylor Swift. Start counting the MIDNIGHTS until this fun-filled camp begins, because we’re about to dance like it’s 1989. It’s sure to fill up quickly, so SPEAK NOW or forever hold your peace!
This camp will take place at Thompson High School, 1921 Warrior Pkwy, Alabaster, AL 35007. There is no option for extended care or lunch purchase for this session.
Triple Threats: Musical Theatre Mania (June 23-27)

Ages: 6 - 8

Triple Threats is a preparatory education program for young people wishing to learn the basics of becoming a “triple threat” musical theatre performer: singing, acting, and dancing. During the week-long camp, students will learn 3-5 production numbers to be performed at the end of the week for friends and family. In preparing for a sharing, students practice ensemble building, discipline, and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work. This week is all about hit songs from Musicals!
Theme Camp: Fairy Tales & Storybooks (at RMT)

By cultivating original characters, students will explore the land of make believe! From knights who slay dragons to talking animals who learn valuable lessons, the world of stories is full of endless possibilities! Now’s your chance to imagine a “happily ever after” by creating your own original character. At the end of the week, students use their newly learned acting and characterization skills in a sharing for family and friends. Through imagination and creativity, you’ll learn basic theatre fundamentals and have a great time!
The students will be split into 3 groups of 15-25 students based on age. If you would like to request that your student be placed in the same group as their friend or sibling who may not be the same age, please send us an email at education@redmountaintheatre.org.
Adult Tap (Individual)

Adult Tap:
Ages 18+
Mondays, 6:30 - 7:30 pm
This is a drop-in option for students unable to commit to the full 13 week session. There will only be 3 drop in slots available per week. First come, first serve.

Adults will learn tap combos and have fun working their tap rhythms. Tap dance sharpens reflexes and improves memory skills and coordination. This beginner’s class will work toward establishing fundamental tap movements, vocabulary and work on basic rhythms and steps that progress into fun and lively dance combinations.
Adult Improv (Individual)

Improv is a fun, exciting, and often hilarious way to loosen up and improve your interpersonal skills! Whether you’re looking to be the next cast member on SNL, or you’re hoping for a promotion at work, the foundations of this time-honored skill will help you be able to keep up in any conversation. Acting has been proven to grow public speaking skills, stimulate memory, and boost teamwork mentality, so students will leave being prepared for any professional or performance situation, paired with a whole bunch of laughs along the way!
