Adults will learn tap combos and have fun working their tap rhythms. Tap dance sharpens reflexes and improves memory skills and coordination. This beginner’s class will work toward establishing fundamental tap movements, vocabulary and work on basic rhythms and steps that progress into fun and lively dance combinations.

Improv is a fun, exciting, and often hilarious way to loosen up and improve your interpersonal skills! Whether you’re looking to be the next cast member on SNL, or you’re hoping for a promotion at work, the foundations of this time-honored skill will help you be able to keep up in any conversation. Acting has been proven to grow public speaking skills, stimulate memory, and boost teamwork mentality, so students will leave being prepared for any professional or performance situation, paired with a whole bunch of laughs along the way!

Play Making: Frozen

Rising 4K - 1st Graders
Budding artists let their imaginations run wild while they creatively explore theatrical storytelling. These half-day classes are designed to cultivate inventiveness as students learn the basics of theatre through collaboration and creative play. This week's camp will transport students to the Kingdom of Arendelle to cool off in the heat of the summer!
Your child must be able to use the bathroom unassisted.
RMT in Alabaster: Pop Hits Triple Threats Camp

June 15th - 19th from 9 am– 4 pm
Rising 1st - 3rd Graders
Triple Threats is a preparatory education program for young people wishing to learn the basics of becoming a “triple threat” musical theatre performer: singing, acting, and dancing. During the week-long camp, students will learn 3-5 production numbers to be performed at the end of the week for friends and family. In preparing for a sharing, students practice ensemble building, discipline, and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work. This week is all about pop music, from Justin Bieber to Taylor Swift and beyond!
The students will be split into 2 groups of 15 students. If you would like to request that your student be placed in the same group as their friend or sibling who may not be the same age, please send us an email at education@redmountaintheatre.org.
This camp will take place at Thompson High School, 1921 Warrior Pkwy, Alabaster, AL 35007. There is no option for extended care or lunch purchase for this session.

Blast Camp: Most Exotic Bad Guys Resort Hotel (June at RMT)

Blast Camps are fun, week-long camps in which students put their musical theatre performance skills to the test. Through rehearsals focused on singing, acting, and dancing, students build confidence by rehearsing a short script written specifically for RMT. At the end of the week, they perform in front of a supportive community of family and friends. In preparing for a performance, students learn discipline and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work.
In this week’s script, everyone's favorite doom-and-gloom crew, the Addams Family, are hosting some of the greatest villains of all time at the Most Exotic Bad Guys Resort Hotel. Join Wednesday, Pugsley and some familiar musical theatre friends as a plot unfolds to give these villains a vacation they’ll never forget! Featuring songs from Hamilton, High School Musical, and The Addams Family Musical, you are guaranteed to have a terrible(ly) wonderful time!
*This Class/Camp/Production fulfills a prerequisite for auditioning for the Performing Ensembles

In this week’s camp, it’s “The Wizard of Oz”, but not as you know it. Dotty Mae is a lonely girl who gets swept up into the mysterious land of AL. With her new friends, she must travel to find the great Wizard who can send her home. This southern take on a classic story includes music from the movie as well as from Wicked.
