Triple Threats is a preparatory education program for young people wishing to learn the basics of becoming a “triple threat” musical theatre performer: singing, acting, and dancing. During the week-long camp, students will learn 3-5 production numbers to be performed at the end of the week for friends and family.  In preparing for a sharing, students practice ensemble building, discipline, and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work. This week is all about hit songs from Musicals!

The students will be split into 2 groups of 15 students. If you would like to request that your student be placed in the same group as their friend or sibling who may not be the same age, please send us an email at education@redmountaintheatre.org.

Blast Camps are fun, week-long camps in which students put their musical theatre performance skills to the test. Through rehearsals focused on singing, acting, and dancing, students build confidence by rehearsing a short script written specifically for RMT. At the end of the week, they perform in front of a supportive community of family and friends. In preparing for a performance, students learn discipline and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work.

In this week’s camp, it’s “The Wizard of Oz”, but not as you know it.  Dotty Mae is a lonely girl who gets swept up into the mysterious land of AL.  With her new friends, she must travel to find the great Wizard who can send her home.  This southern take on a classic story includes music from the movie as well as from Wicked and The Wiz.
