Ages 9-14

Blast Camps are fun, week-long camps in which students put their musical theatre performance skills to the test. Through rehearsals focused on singing, acting, and dancing, students build confidence by rehearsing a short script written specifically for RMT. At the end of the week, they perform in front of a supportive community of family and friends. In preparing for a performance, students learn discipline and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work.

The Garcia sisters are a little unusual – not only are they triplets but they have magical powers. When a wish goes wrong, it transports them to one of the most magical places around: Disappearing School. They must learn about their new powers in order to set their wish right and return home. This script features all original music written specifically for RMT!

July 28th - August 1st from 9:30 - 4:30 pm

Ages 7-12

By cultivating original characters, students will become the main character of their own story. What do Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, and Wall-e all have in common: main character energy. You too can feel what it’s like to be the star of your story by creating your own original character. At the end of the week, students use their newly learned acting and characterization skills in a sharing for family and friends. Through imagination and creativity, you’ll learn basic theatre fundamentals and have a great time!

The students will be split into 2 groups of 15-25 students based on age. If you would like to request that your student be placed in the same group as their friend or sibling who may not be the same age, please send us an email at education@redmountaintheatre.org.
