Theme Camp: Camp Half-Blood
Ages: 7 - 12

By cultivating original characters, students will creatively explore the world of Percy Jackson and create their own Camp Half-Blood Camper. On their quest, students will discover their powers, defeat monsters, and befriend mythical creatures. At the end of the week, students showcase their adventures for family and friends use their newly learned acting and characterization skills. Through imagination and creativity, you’ll learn theatre fundamentals and find the Greek hero within yourself!

Summer Camp Lunch
This is a purchased lunch offering for RMT campers. Lunch options consist of various local fast food restaurants (Craft's, Hamburger Heaven, Panera, Publix, Dominos).
- This is intended for FULL DAY camp participants. Students in Play Making are eligible ONLY if they are attending both a morning and afternoon session in a week.
- If you would like to purchase lunch for multiple weeks, you must register for each week separately.
- We do NOT offer a vegetarian option at this time.
- Please note, financial aid is not applicable to this amenity.
Lunch Purchase is not available for camps in Alabaster, Hueytown, or Chelsea.
Extended Care
This is an add-on option for working guardians to drop off students early, and pick up late, to accommodate their work schedules. Drop off as early as 7:30 am, and pick up as late as 5:30 pm.
- This option is intended for FULL DAY camp participants.
- Please register for each week you wish to take advantage of this amenity.
- Play Making participants (ages 4-6) may only opt for early drop off (for a 9am-12pm session) OR late pick up (for a 12:30-3:30pm session). They are only eligible for both extended care options if they are participating in both Play Making sessions within a week.
Extended Care is not available for camps in Alabaster, Hueytown, and Chelsea.
Play Making: Encanto
Ages: 4 - 6
May 26th - 29th from 9 am– 12 pm (Please note there is no class on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.)
Rising 4K - 1st Graders
Budding artists let their imaginations run wild while they creatively explore theatrical storytelling. These half-day classes are designed to cultivate inventiveness as students learn the basics of theatre through collaboration and creative play. This week's camp will allow students to explore what it would be like to live in the magical casita of the Familia Madrigal. Can you control the weather like Pepa? Talk to animals like Antonio? Or, do you see the future like…that guy we don’t talk about?
Your child must be able to use the bathroom unassisted.
Triple Threats: Follow the Yellow Brick Road
Ages: 6 - 8
May 26th - 29th from 9 am– 4 pm (Please note there is no class on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.)
Rising 1st - 3rd Graders
Triple Threats is a preparatory education program for young people wishing to learn the basics of becoming a “triple threat” musical theatre performer: singing, acting, and dancing. During the week-long camp, students will learn 3-5 production numbers to be performed at the end of the week for friends and family. In preparing for a sharing, students practice ensemble building, discipline, and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work. This week is all about taking a stroll down the yellow brick road to explore the wonderful land of oz! Who knows, Elphaba and Glinda might decide to join us along the journey…
The students will be split into 2 groups of 15-25 students based on age. If you would like to request that your student be placed in the same group as their friend or sibling who may not be the same age, please send us an email at education@redmountaintheatre.org.
Theme Camp: The World of Super Mario
Ages: 7 - 12
May 26th - 29th from 9:30 am– 4:30 pm (Please note there is no class on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.)
Rising 2nd - 5th Graders
By cultivating original characters, students will explore the World of Super Mario! Join Mario and Luigi as they rescue Princess Peach from the clutches of King Bowser, who has kidnapped her and plunged the Mushroom Kingdom into chaos with his army of Koopas. Through creative group storytelling, you’ll travel beyond the video games and movies to create your own original character in the world of Super Mario. At the end of the week, students use their newly learned acting and characterization skills in a sharing for family and friends. Through imagination and creativity, you’ll learn basic theatre fundamentals and have a great time!

Play Making: Toy Story
Ages: 4 - 6
May 26th - 29th from 12:30 – 3:30 pm (Please note there is no class on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.)

These half-day classes are designed to cultivate inventiveness as students learn the basics of theatre through collaboration and creative play. This week's camp will be a toy takeover! Join Woody, Buzz, and their friends as they take on toy-tastic adventures…but watch out, we have to FREEZE if Andy’s coming!

Play Making: Spidey & Friends
Ages: 4 - 6
June 1st – 5th from 9 am– 12 pm

These half-day classes are designed to cultivate inventiveness as students learn the basics of theatre through collaboration and creative play. This week's camp will focus on the adventures of Spiderman and all of his superhero pals, as they fight crime and have fun!
