Blast Camp: Wizard of AL

$350

with Sarah Mayhew

Calendar Next session starts Jun 2, 2025 at 9:30 am, runs for 1 week

Ages: 9 - 14

June 2nd - 6th from 9:30 - 4:30 pm

Ages 9-14

Blast Camps are fun, week-long camps in which students put their musical theatre performance skills to the test. Through rehearsals focused on singing, acting, and dancing, students build confidence by rehearsing a short script written specifically for RMT. At the end of the week, they perform in front of a supportive community of family and friends. In preparing for a performance, students learn discipline and memorization skills that they can take with them to their scholastic work.

In this week’s camp, it’s “The Wizard of Oz”, but not as you know it.  Dotty Mae is a lonely girl who gets swept up into the mysterious land of AL.  With her new friends, she must travel to find the great Wizard who can send her home.  This southern take on a classic story includes music from the movie as well as from Wicked and The Wiz.
