YAP Originals: The Devising Experience

Rising 4th-9th graders

M-F  9:30am-4:30pm

July 6-10, 2026

1 Performance  Friday, July 10, 2026   5:00 PM  (students will stay after the end of their rehearsal day)

This is an exciting 1-week summer program designed for kids (rising 4th through 9th graders) who love to create worlds and bring them to life. Devised theatre is the ultimate exercise in teamwork and creativity. Instead of starting with a script, students collaborate to transform a classic story into a new, original play. Through improvisation and group problem-solving, young artists learn how to take an idea from a spark of imagination to a fully realized performance.

All rehearsals for a Young Artist Productions are mandatory.  Students will not be approved for any non-emergency absence during this production.
